After stepping away from in-person hairstyling, Vivid Locks was born out of my desire to keep creating vibrant, boundary-breaking styles for those who want to explore and embrace their own vision.

Vivid Locks by Jennay offers fully customizable, 100% human hair extensions that match your unique style.
At Locks By Vivid, you're investing in a premium tinting service tailored specifically for your human hair extensions.
This service brings your extensions to life with vibrant colors, custom patterns, and optional add-ons like Prismatic Threads for added shine.
Each order is personalized to match your vision, making your extensions truly one of a kind.
Note: I do not supply the hair; you must provide your own extensions for this service.
- Consultation & Ordering: Start by filling out the order form in the Digital Store. Once I receive your details, I'll reach out to schedule a phone consultation. This call is where we discuss your vision—color choices, special techniques, and any add-ons. We'll finalize everything, including pricing, which depends on the time needed to bring your vision to life. You will receive an estimated date of completion.
- Materials & Colors: I will provide a list of products I will work with, and You will need to purchase your chosen colors and a clear dilution cream. I only work with high-quality brands that align with my standards, including Arctic Fox, Joico Color Intensity, Pravana ChromaSilk Vivids, and Paintbox. If you're going for a look that glows under UV lights, Pravana ChromaSilk Vivids is the ultimate choice.
- Remember, no bleach—only tinting and staining. The dye must be provided unopened and sealed to ensure authenticity and quality.
- Shipping Your Extensions: After our consultation, you’ll have 7 business days to mail me your hair extensions and UNOPENED HAIR DYE and send proof of shipping. Make sure to send the tracking info to VividLocks@VODProductions.com. Once received, I’ll let you know so we can move forward.
- Customization: Your custom Vivid Locks will be ready within 14 business days of the due date I give you at the time of your consultation or you will get %50 off your next order.
- Shipping Back: I’ll ship back your newly-colored extensions along with the color formula for your stylist, and detailed care instructions to help you keep your locks looking their best.

About Locks By Vivid
- Formerly Hair By Jennay and Company LLC and Discord Design Studio LLC, Locks By Vivid continues the tradition of delivering high-quality, custom hair extension tinting and design services. #HairByJennayMI
Custom Tinting Service
- Base Rate: Starting at $150 for the first hour—this covers everything from preparation to the first layer of vivid, creative magic. Clients receive nothing but the best, high-quality professional tinting.
No Extra Time Charges (Until January 1st!)
- From now until January 1st, enjoy zero additional hourly fees. Typically, it’s $50 per hour after the first hour, but not during this promo. Now is the perfect time to get those dream extensions without worrying about the clock.
Specialty Services Add-On Fee
- Normally, specialty styles like Extreme Blondes, Neon UV-reactive Hair, or Wild Boldness have a $20-50 add-on fee for that extra level of care and detail. But until January 1st, this fee is waived. Go bold without the extra cost!
Prismatic Threads Sew-Ins Add-On
- Prismatic Threads: Bring on the shimmer! These metallic strands add a 3D glow that takes your style to another level.
Add-On Price: Normally $25-$50, but currently only $20 until January 1st.
Intensity Levels:
- Light: A gentle, magical glimmer—just enough to sparkle under the lights.
- Medium: A balanced shine, perfect for catching eyes without going overboard.
- Heavy: Full-on dazzle, maximum impact—this is for when you want all eyes on you.
Extension Packages
Peekaboo Pack (Tester Set, Up to 5 Pieces):
- $100 - $150 for smaller creative pieces—perfect for highlights, peekaboo pops, or trying something new.
- Limited Weft Sizes:
- Side Wefts: 2-5 inches wide, ideal for side blending.
- Tape-In Extensions: 1.5-2 inches wide per piece, great for targeted accents.
- Clip-In Extensions: 2-3 inches wide for subtle creative touches.
Volume Set (Half Set, 5-7 Pieces):
- $150 - $200 for added volume. Ideal for enhancing your look without going for full head coverage.
Complete Transformation (Full Set, 8-10 Pieces):
- $250 - $300 for total coverage and full-on glam. This is for when you want all the volume and all the length.

- Custom Coloring: Every order is custom-tinted with the colors you select, matching your unique vision. Whether it’s subtle tones or bold, eye-catching designs, your extensions will reflect your personal style.
- Mailing Costs: Shipping the completed extensions back to you within the U.S. is included in the service fee. No additional shipping fees are required unless you choose to receive leftover dye (details below).

Detailed care instructions will be provided with your order to help you maintain the vibrant look of your Locks By Vivid extensions. These guidelines will ensure your extensions remain in great condition for as long as possible.

Leftover Dye & Formula: Choice.
- Keep the Dye: You can opt to have the leftover dye returned to you for an additional shipping fee (U.S. orders only).
- Opt-Out Discount: If you decide not to receive the leftover dye, you’ll receive a discount on your next service, based on the amount of dye left. Once you forfeit the dye, it will no longer be available for future use.
- Social Media Discount:
Share your new VividLocks on social media using the hashtag #VividLocks, and you’ll receive a discount on your next service. Show off your unique personality and creativity with your custom-colored extensions for this exclusive offer!
Domestic Shipping:
Shipping the finished product within the U.S. is included in the price of the service. If you choose to have leftover dye returned with your order, an additional shipping fee will apply.
International Shipping:
- Liquid Products: Due to international shipping restrictions, liquid products like leftover dye cannot be shipped internationally. You will only receive the custom-tinted hair extensions if you’re located outside the U.S.
- U.S.-Based Company Required: International clients must arrange for a U.S.-based company to send the hair extensions and products to me for customization. Once complete, I will ship the finished extensions internationally. Shipping times and costs may vary based on location and shipping method.
- Currency Considerations: All prices are in U.S. Dollars (USD). International clients should be aware of potential currency conversions and extended shipping times.
Shipping Information
Since you are paying for a personalized service rather than purchasing a physical product, no sales tax is applied to your custom tinting order. Michigan law exempts services, such as custom hair tinting, from sales tax because they involve labor rather than the sale of goods. You’re paying for a professional service that customizes your hair extensions, which is not subject to sales tax.
However, if you are purchasing custom tinsel clips or other physical products (such as metallic hair clips), sales tax may be applied based on the product’s price.
- Location: Locks By Vivid operates out of Genesee County, Michigan, and complies with all relevant state and local tax regulations.
- International Clients: Please note that any import taxes or duties on the finished product will depend on your local regulations and are the responsibility of the client.
